Today, I have the privilege of doing an author interview over at SunSPARKLEshine with the lovely Marva from the British Virgin Islands!  I’m answering questions from my new book, Count to Nine; 9 Liberating Steps for Mom Frustration and Anger.

>>What prompted you to write Count to Nine?

>>What was your favourite part about writing the book?

>>How is this parenting advice book different from others that have been published?

>>What about the mom who’s really blown it with her parenting? And

>>How can we actually believe it’s possible to be free of anger?

Today’s feature also comes from Marva at SunSPARKLEshine, sharing great wisdom on how to help our kids set goals!

Setting goals and achieving dreams are not just for grownups. With a little encouragement kids can set goals and achieve goals that will blow their minds.

Setting goals and achieving dreams are not just for the experts — or even just for adults, for that matter. With a little encouragement kids can set their own goals that will blow their minds.

Encourage your children to dream for Christ and follow the big dreams God has put on their hearts. Hint: parents we might need to step out of the way to help them do this.

An image of my daughter sitting on our porch today reminded me of this.

There she was, with her back to me. Her gaze set on the turquoise waters and the verdant mountains beyond. Her devotional book in hand. I could hear her little voice singing praises to God.  To find out why Marva was so excited about her daughter’s goal and to read how you can practically help your children achieve goals (while YOU get out of the way), follow this link!  You’ll be glad you did!

  1. Ruthie, it was such an honour and a privelege to interview you about your Count to Nine book. I was excited to share the good news with moms everywhere and even more excited to announce the giveaway winner. Thank you for your generosity in gifting a copy of the book and the bonus journal to one of my readers. The best part is, she’s over the moon happy and ready to get started on her own journey of counting to nine. What a blessing your book will be to her and all the other moms who come across it.
By the way, thanks for featuring my post about kids setting goals — it’s all to God’s glory, my friend.
    Hugs and sparkles,
    Marva

Thank you, friend, for your support and hospitality, as always. I was delighted to send the book to the winner, who was especially delighted (as you said) and is now an MTO member! You are one of a kind, friend. Praying blessings on you, and for you to find your “one thing”!
